Update 01/29/04:

The North Metro Harness Initiative has made great strides:

	The overall project has received concept approval from Columbus Township
	Site control has been achieved
	Debt equity financing has been secured
	An Environmental Assessment worksheet was filed with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
	On December 23, 2003 our license applications were filed with the Minnesota Racing Commission

A public hearing is anticipated to be held in the beginning of March in which public testimony will be heard.. Your presence and support in this process would be greatly appreciated. In addition, you may send letters of support to be presented at this hearing.

We will continue to update this site on future events, dated and times once they are available.

Update 10/14/03:

The potential site is located at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Lake Drive, north of St. Paul and south of Forest Lake.

Community support has been very positive and the project is continuing to move forward.

Individuals are encouraged to make suggestions for the name of the future harness racetrack. Send them to: info@northmetroharness.com.

We are currently in the planning and development stage of this project.

	Meeting with local and county leaders
	Meeting with local business people
	Identifying a site location
	Generating support from the general public
